When Everything in Life is Not Beautiful

Scanning through Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and other areas online, we see smiling faces, fun, laughter, and beauty.
We see photos of groups of friends, families, events, filled with smiles.
Wouldn’t it be nice if everyday of life was filled with everyone getting along perfectly in relationships, and no problems exist?
No arguments, no anger, no sad days, and no struggles.
Although I write about joy, encouragement, kindness, and love, I realize days exist, when we experience problems in our relationships.
The smiling faces, fun, laughter and beauty only exist in our photos and words on social media.
Life may be difficult, life may be hard, people we are in relationships with are not always kind, and not always loving.
Yet, this is all part of life. It’s ok to admit, today was a difficult day. Today was a sad day.
Today I am struggling.
As we become honest with our situations, we may see ourselves without our rose colored glasses.
We may begin to admit we are sad, we are struggling and we are not sure what to do.
Yet, it is in this place we may see the solution to a problem. We may see how to build a bridge in a close relationship instead of tearing it apart.
Honesty, helps us to see reality. It is in this place, that beauty may begin to shine through.
We will begin to once again see beauty, experience joy and hear our laughter.
Honesty, is all part of healing.
Love the people God places in your life. Forgive when necessary and build a bridge.
